The L.A.B in cooperation with Aix-Marseille Université is very pleased to announce the organisation of the Final Event of the Let’s STEAM project to be organised in May 2022 within the facilities of the Institute of Technology of Aix-en-Provence and within the fab lab.
The participants will have the unique opportunity to live the Let’s STEAM experience during two days dedicated to the several crucial aspects of the project.
- Seminar – On the first day, a seminar session will be aimed at the STEAM community of teachers, rectors, school directors, educators, association representatives and policy-makers to present the results of the project, especially the training content and its impact on the deployment of new skills in the framework of digital competencies. This seminar will be concluded by a roundtable enabling us to review the steps forward in the exploitation and sustainability of the project results.
- Maker Evening – The L.A.B will welcome the participants, the students as well as the general audience, to share an evening and buffet together in the fablab facilities. This moment will be a unique opportunity for presenting the potential applications of the Let’s STEAM activities in concrete Do-It-Yourself projects. Participants will be able to engage with devices created thanks to the resources of the Let’s STEAM project for gathering data and understanding STEAM concepts, all of them developed thanks to digital manufacturing tools available in the fab lab. Speakers will be invited to present their contribution to the IT community (including Sébastien NEDJAR – Vice-president of the Fab Lab and serial maker, Yannick Marietti – Engineer for School within ST Microelectronic, and other participants invited from communities such as Microsoft Research and the EU CodeWeek – Full list to be communicated soon).
- Students’ day – The second day will be dedicated to students’ activities, showcasing projects realised thanks to programming and electronic boards. Presentations to be made to students from secondary school to higher education to motivate interest in sciences and encourage their motivation and curiosity for creative digitally-based activities.
