Soapbox Science 2021 is coming!

Last year we had the first Portuguese edition of Soapbox Science, that took place on 19 September, in virtual format, unfortunately. Despite that drawback, it was a success, with a good number of participants presenting their research to an interested public.

This year Soapbox Science is back. Hopefully this time the event will grow, include more women scientists and take place in a more ‘human’ fashion… Spreading the virus – not that one… but infecting everyone with curiosity and the scientific spirit. That possibility is in the hands of all of us. Stay home now, so we can all be out there enjoying the sunshine and listening live to our speakers in the second half of the year.

As of now, the team behind the event has issued a call to all that are interested in presenting their work. And, like last year NUCLIO joins the effort to try and give visibility to all the women scientists that are developing their work in the country. Thus, we leave here the information currently available.
